Welcome to the home page of the California Nevada Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. The Cal-Neva Chapter is the largest chapter of the AFS. We have more than 550 active members. Our Chapter is actively engaged in fisheries and conservation activities throughout California and Nevada.  This is the update of the Cal-Neva Chapter's web page. Many of the areas are still under construction. We will be loading new material on an on-going basis. Please revisit us frequently to see what is new.

Our Mission

The mission of the American Fisheries Society is to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.
 

 

The Cal-Neva Chapter

The Cal-Neva Chapter is actively engaged in a large number of professional activities to advance our profession and the cause of fisheries conservation. These activities include sponsoring professional meetings, publications, continuing education, and conservation efforts. There are many opportunities for Chapter members to become involved in these activities. Foremost of these is to become more active in our Chapter. If you are interested in becoming more involved in professional activities please contact our Executive Committee. All members and prospective members are welcome.

This Web Page is designed to provide members of the Cal-Neva Chapter of AFS with information resources related to Chapter and professional activities.
